Machining Knowledge System — Powered by AI

The SOP and Glossary modules pair AI capability with real machining experience to build procedures and work instructions that neither could produce alone — the programmer brings intuition and hard-won floor knowledge, AI brings comprehensive recall and tireless documentation, and together they produce something better than either could write alone.

The Glossary doesn’t just define terms — it surfaces their origins, the evolution of techniques, and the lineage of processes that shaped this trade, embedding the history of precision manufacturing into a system built to last. Glossary terms literally build themselves with AI.

OnSet addresses manufacturing’s most persistent language barrier with AI translation that works in real shop context — not word-for-word, but meaning-for-meaning — editable for regional dialect and portable when operations move across the country or across an ocean.

OnSet’s AI Wordsmith takes the shorthand a programmer types into Work Instructions — “face mill top .010 leave for grind” — and refines it into clear, professional, imperative-voice instructions without changing a single technical detail.
